Where ScrubScope stands today
ScrubScope does not currently run affiliate or referral links, so nothing
you read here is shaped by a commission. If that changes, this site will
earn a referral fee only when a reader chooses to request information from
a school, the fee will be paid by the school or lead network rather than
the reader, and it will never change a ranking, a recommendation, or which
schools appear. The schools, not ScrubScope, make all admissions and
financial-aid decisions. Rankings reflect program fit, not commission.
When monetized links go live, we review that content quarterly and on every program-cost cycle.
How affiliate relationships will work
ScrubScope does not currently carry affiliate or referral links. Its outbound school links are not monetized today; lead-network applications are in progress and the relevant links remain placeholders until those are approved. We are explaining the model here in advance so the terms are clear before any of it goes live.
When referral links do go live, ScrubScope may earn a referral fee when you request information from a school through a link on this site. The fee would be paid by the school or lead network, not by you, and would not increase any cost you pay. Not all schools would have a referral arrangement; schools appear in our reviews and comparisons based on editorial merit, regardless of whether they participate. Rankings are determined by fit for the reader's goals, not by referral rates.
FTC compliance
In accordance with the FTC Endorsement Guides (16 C.F.R. Part 255), once ScrubScope carries any monetized outbound link or lead form, it will disclose the material connection, including referral compensation, on every page that contains one. The disclosure will appear near each lead form so readers see it before submitting. Until then, there is no material connection to disclose.
If compensation begins, sources may include cost-per-lead and cost-per-enrollment arrangements through education lead networks. ScrubScope does not sell guaranteed editorial placements; a school cannot pay to receive a higher ranking or a recommendation.
